As part of our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) initiative, students are noticed and acknowledged by staff members for being responsible, respectful and/or safe. They are given a ticket to be entered into a weekly drawing. The tickets remain in the boxes throughout the month.
In addition to the weekly drawings, at the end of each month we will draw names from the collection boxes for a chance to earn a more significant reinforcer.
Collectively, students earned 1038 tickets throughout September! The 7th grade class is leading the way by earning 220 tickets - with Junior class hot on their heels earning 218 tickets. Great job 7th graders and Juniors! Six more tickets were drawn today and these students were reinforced for meeting our building expectations of being responsible, respectful and safe.
Along with amazing students, we have dedicated staff members taking the time to teach, model and acknowledge these expectations. While all of our teachers do a great job at this, special shout out this month to Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Gregerson, Mrs. Noall and Mr. Rife for leading the staff in distributing the most Rock 'em Rewards this month. Bravo!!!
The collection boxes will all now be emptied and we will start over for the month of October. The goal is for students to continue to earn tickets by being responsible, respectful and safe. Keep up the great work Blue Streaks!
